Another Rainy Summer?

The June Critical Mass was a rainy one

Last Summer was the Summer of extreme rain.  Lots of flooding.  This Summer is turning out to be much of the same. There's still 2 1/2 weeks until Tour De Jasper starts, but will the rain clear up in time?

This weekend I went on a 124 km bicycling adventure to Purden Lake and back with my Summer travelling companion, Deanna. (62 kms each way)

We left the city in the rain, but it cleared up as we reached the top of the hills out of the bowel of the City.  It was still quite warm despite it being overcast.

In case you are wondering why I haven't posted as much recently.  This is the reason.  I'm building myself up as much as possible for the upcoming Summer adventures.  Not that I am not in shape already, but extra long distance riding beforehand doesn't hurt.

It was a wet Sunday mornings, and despite my hesitations I decided to go hiking with the Ramblers.  It surprised me to see 30 other people wanting to hike too!  I guess bad weather is no excuse!

Quesnel Pinnacles Hike

 Rob and Bonnie led 21 of us through the Pinnacles Provincial Park by Quesnel last Sunday.  It was another nice warm day for a hike.  It's a bit of a drive to go on this hike which isn't a long one, but it's worth it.
