Bike camping at Purden Lake
Me with my Summer riding companion, Deanna |
Squirrel goes to the lake
This weekend I went on a 124 km bicycling adventure to Purden Lake and back with my Summer travelling companion, Deanna. (62 kms each way)
We left the city in the rain, but it cleared up as we reached the top of the hills out of the bowel of the City. It was still quite warm despite it being overcast.

A Fun Overnight Practice Run
Practice ride around town |
Squirrel is back at it!
In case you are wondering why I haven't posted as much recently. This is the reason. I'm building myself up as much as possible for the upcoming Summer adventures. Not that I am not in shape already, but extra long distance riding beforehand doesn't hurt.

Pope Mountain and Fort St. James
It was a wet Sunday mornings, and despite my hesitations I decided to go hiking with the Ramblers. It surprised me to see 30 other people wanting to hike too! I guess bad weather is no excuse!

Training ride to Tabor
Today I rode to Tabor Mountain and back with my friend Mary-Jo. After seeing it rain all week, it was nice to see Sun!
I rode easily up the hill to the airport. We stopped at Mr. G's for a quick break. We also took lots of breaks along the way.
One of the stops was at the actual mountain where there is some awesome skiing in the Winter.
We bumped into some friends who were also doing a training ride! Good to get ready for it I would say.
This is a test post with photos and story posted from my tablet. Thanks for inviting me again Mary-Jo!

Bike to Work Week- The Celebration Stations
Last week was Bike to Work Week in BC. This was the 4th year that it was held in my town and I again participated! I love celebrating riding my bicycle even though I bike almost 365 days a year.
