Mt. Magnus- Sunday Hike. With a side of bicycle.

On Sunday, a group of us went down near Barkerville and hiked up Mt. Magnus.  It's one of the first mountains in the area to be almost snow free.  It was a great day for a hike, no rain till after we got down.  It was a steep climb up, but thankfully it wasn't too hot.  I wore shorts though as I hate getting overheated.  It's easy to add layers if needed.  Up top it was cold enough for touque and wool gloves.

Above:  Heh, there's me!
Below:  Me, and my hiking buds, Kim and Laura.

Lunch break.  Bowron Lakes down below peaks.

The lake in the background,  is one of Bowron Lakes..you can take an adventurous multi-day canoe trip on the lakes chain.

My Keen sandals came in handy for crossing the creek after the hike- have to cross it to start and end the hike
Not too deep, but freezing cold!  Brrrrrrrrrrr.

What's my blog without a bit of bike theme somewhere in the posts?  I found this multi-seater
in Wells, a beautiful historic village situated in a picturesque mountain valley.  It's a very artistic community.
